    What is

    Carbon Neutrality ?

     

    The total amount of carbon dioxide and greenhouse gas emissions directly or indirectly produced by enterprises during operation can be offset through afforestation, energy conservation, and carbon reduction, or the purchase of carbon credits, in order to meet the target emission standards.

    What is Carbon-Zero？

     

    Carbon zero emissions mean that we do not produce harmful carbon dioxide or other greenhouse gases that affect the climate during a certain activity or process. To achieve carbon-zero emissions, we can reduce emissions, use clean energy, purchase carbon offsets, plant trees, etc., to minimize environmental impacts. Currently, many organizations, companies, and governments are striving for carbon-zero emissions, changing our energy production methods to be more environmentally sustainable, and protecting the earth's ecology.

     

     

  • International Carbon Credit Trading Certification

    Gold Standard (GS)

     

    The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and other international non-governmental organizations jointly established the Gold Standard Organization in 2003 to help companies implement the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) and promote voluntary greenhouse gas reductions. The organization introduced the Gold Standard (GS) to measure the impact of various investment projects on environmental sustainability.

     

    Companies certified with the Gold Standard (GS) not only need to propose substantial actions to mitigate climate change but also need to have positive effects on at least three SDGs. Currently, more than 80 non-governmental organizations use this standard, with over 1,400 certified investment projects in more than 80 countries worldwide.

    Voluntary Carbon Standard (VSC)

     

    The Voluntary Carbon Standard (VCS) was developed and managed by VERRA. It is currently the largest credit standard for carbon emissions. It uses various methods to reduce and remove greenhouse gases in categories such as energy, industrial processing, construction, transportation, waste, mining, agriculture, forestry, grasslands, wetlands, and livestock and manure. In addition to emissions reduction, projects demonstrating other social or environmental benefits are eligible to combine VCS certification with other Verra programs, such as Climate, Community, and Biodiversity (CCB) standards.
